Project Experience

Live Oak Bank Building #3 – Wilmington, NC
A four story office building with 64,000 sf. of heated space.  The structure is a hybrid with a  structural steel frame, composite steel and concrete floors and some exposed glulam columns.  The ground floor has a concrete slab cast on grade and the roof is steel bar joists and metal deck.

Brightmore @ Cary – Cary, NC
A Senior Living Facility for Liberty Healthcare located in Cary, NC.  Buildings range between one and five stories for a total of 480,000 sf. of heated space.  The structures include independent living apartment units, assisted living, commons areas, a kitchen/dining and gathering area, a memory care unit and some retail space.  The Independent Living apartment construction is wood framed.  The Common areas are steel framed with concrete floors for the first three floors and wood framed for the upper two floors.  The Assisted Living section is steel framed with concrete slabs on metal deck.  The structure has several expansion joints due to its immense size.

River Lights Mixed Use Building II – Wilmington, NC
A 4 story mixed use building with 42,000 sf. of retail and apartments.  The structure is 2x wood framing with pre-engineered wood floor and roof trusses on a concrete slab with shallow spread and strip footings.  Structural steel girders and columns were used over the retail spaces on the first floor.
