Don Woods established the firm Woods Engineering, PA in 1999 where he worked out of his home with three full-time employees. In 2005 the “home” office was moved to Historic downtown Wilmington, NC and currently employs a full-time staff of thirteen.

Adam L. Sisk has been designing structures for Woods Engineering since he graduated from NC State University in 2010. He has been involved in all phases of the design and construction process.

Melissa re-joined Woods Engineering in January 2013 as Business Manager. Before returning to school to complete her degree, Melissa was a Structural Designer in our Wilmington, NC office.

Greg Trotta, PE

Greg joined the group in May of 2022 and passed his PE license exam in the Spring of 2023.

Manthan Shah, PE

Manthan joined the group in August of 2017.  He passed his PE exam in May of 2023.

Jeff Yankey is the “Residential Guru” for Woods Engineering, PA. He works with award winning architects and designs the structural elements for high end residential projects on Bald Head Island, NC, Figure Eight Island, NC and other Coastal Communities.
